Step-by-Step Setup
1. Create a New Workflow
Navigate to Sequensy → Workflows in your WordPress admin and click Add New Workflow.
Name your workflow “Payment Confirmation Email” or “Instant Download Delivery”.
2. Configure the Trigger
Select Payment Complete as your trigger. This fires the moment payment is confirmed, before order processing.
Available filters:
- Payment Method: Different emails for different gateways
- Products: Target specific digital products
- Order Total: Customize by purchase value
- Product Type: Filter for downloadable products
3. Set Up the Send Email Action
Configure your payment confirmation:

4. Include Dynamic Content
For digital products, include download links or access credentials:
- Downloads:

- Course Access: Link to course login
- Booking Details: Confirmation numbers and dates
5. Test Your Workflow
- Enable the workflow
- Purchase a product and complete payment
- Verify email arrives immediately after payment
- Test that download links work
- Check all merge tags are correct

Immediate delivery matters: For digital products, payment confirmation emails should arrive within seconds. Use a reliable email delivery service.
Different emails for product types: Physical products might get “order received, we’re preparing your shipment” while digital products get instant access links.
Include backup access: Always provide a link to their account where they can re-download files in case email is lost.
Multiple recipients: For B2B purchases, CC the billing contact and include the email in the order notes.
